Kiana Njoku-Ibe is a Graduate Student at Texas Woman’s University, pursuing a Ph.D. in Child Development and Early Education. Kiana Njoku-Ibe completed her Masters in December 2020 and continued to the Ph.D. program in Child Development & Early Education. Mrs. Njoku-Ibe has interest in Early Childhood Education but focuses on social-emotional development of children, teacher education, and leadership in education. Mrs. Njoku-Ibe has received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in German awarded by the University of North Texas. Mrs. Njoku-Ibe is a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and aligns with NAEYC’s principles and recommendations.
Mrs. Njoku-Ibe’s core belief is that education is for everyone and should be accessible for everyone; educational access is essential in early life to have a proper foundation for the future. Related to Mrs. Njoku-Ibe's research goal, education about the complexity of emotion and social development and its relationship to the academic environment is not well documented, and Mrs. Njoku-Ibe intends to provide more to that literature through future research endeavors. Mrs. Njoku-Ibe intends to become a researcher with a focus in social-emotional development or focus on Specialized and Individualized Education.
